Inventory Control Analyst (Lathrop, CA)

Summary
Direct and coordinate inventory management activities, including aspects of warehousing, logistics, deployment and transportation support. Back-up the Customer Service Department during the high season.
This position is located in Lathrop California
Responsibilities
1. Warehousing / Inventory Management
- Managing inventory control at Ghirardelli’s third party warehouses by facilitating and reconciling daily book/physical inventories even if they happen to occur on a weekend.
- Full responsibility for timely reconciliation of all stock transfers and receipts to include co-packers, co-manufacturers and 3rd Party Warehouses.
- Coordinate and oversee the item hold process between Ghirardelli QA department and the 3rd Party Warehouses.
- Direct inventory management activities with 3rd party warehouses by facilitating daily, on-going communication. Reconcile inventory, research inventory discrepancies, and cycle count adjustments.
- Monitor FIFO movement and identify aging/excess inventory. Work with Sales and Production Department to address root cause and take appropriate corrective action.
- Provide analysis of daily-run Open Stock Transfer report to ensure all STs are received and closed in a timely fashion in the JD Edwards system.
- Monitor San Leandro finished goods stock levels and production plans to insure adequate deployment based on the overall Logistics Strategy.
- File and follow up on warehouse loss and damage claims.
- Performs root cause analysis on business practices.
- Manage Knock Down or ship case (KD’s) process for all in-bound damage.
- Provide specifications on all new items to 3rd party warehouse.
- Processes disposition request forms for damage write offs and submit to management for approval.
- Managed daily OSD processes with the carriers and forward warehouses
2. Overall
- Work directly with other departments (Co-packing, Planning, Accounting, Sales, Marketing and Production) to improve cross-functional business processes and to resolve recurring problems.
- Participate in Logistics departmental meetings and the accomplishment of departmental goals.
- Perform ad hoc analyses as requested by management.
- Cross train and perform back up duties for other department personnel when they are sick, on FTO or to help with unusually heavy workloads.
- Insure data integrity across all system modules.

Education and Experience
· 3 to 5 years of inventory management and 3rd party logistics management experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree and five or more years customer service experience is required or equivalent combination of education and or experience.
Working Conditions
